Making an Impact
BrandPoint Services Partners with the Connex Foundation’s 2022 Impact Charity Program
BrandPoint Services is proud to support New Life Beginnings (NLB), an organization which provides safe, loving, and caring long-term shelter care for pregnant women and their children. Through the Connex Foundation IMPACT Charity Program, BrandPoint Services has been selected to assist with the remodel of NLB’s facility in Longbeach, California, rehabbing an old hotel into a place that will foster growth, positivity, and self improvement.
Through NLB’s ‘Mothers Home’ program, mothers are able to prosper in a stable environment that allows them to experience life restoration. While in the home, women are engaged in a personal program that will allow them to break through the welfare cycle and become a contributing member of society.
“Over the last 30 years, our mission has evolved from helping homeless pregnant women to homeless women with children, who may or may not be pregnant, and victims of human trafficking and domestic violence,” says Rebecca Younger from New Life Beginnings.. “We provide opportunities that empower women to break free of the welfare cycle to become independent contributing members of society. We cherish life, honor motherhood, and empower women.”
The BrandPoint Services team along with the Connex Foundation and Impact Committee, will perform wall-to-wall renovations throughout the ‘Mothers Home’ facility, a task which includes everything from installing new doors and windows, to hanging, sanding, and painting brand new sheetrock walls.
In addition to the remodeling project, BrandPoint Services will also assist in the makeover of the outdoor landscape, create an outdoor play area, and build over 20 dressers for families to store their belongings in. Not to mention, 20 bunk beds to maximize living space to be used throughout the facility.
None of this would be possible without generous partners like Pluie and Benjamin Moore. Pluie is donating a diaper changing table to be installed in the common bathroom of the household so mothers can change their children on a sanitized surface. The revolutionary product utilizes UV-C lighting to kill 99.9% of germs, bacteria, and viruses found on changing tables. Benjamin Moore donated hundreds of gallons of paint to be utilized throughout the remodel project.
“The opportunity to give back to the community is extremely important to our team at BrandPoint Services,” says Jana Coyle. “This project is such an amazing cause, and we’re so proud to be able to utilize the talented members of our team and our vast network. It feels great to work towards a common goal and give back to a very important cause.”
