Brandpoint Services President, Steve Hearon, Runs For Connex Board Of Directors Seat

Hi everyone,

My name is Steve Hearon, and I’m running for the Connex Board of Directors. Last year, I was fortunate enough to be elected to an alternate board seat at Connex, and with your support, I hope to make that an official board seat, so I can continue our shared mission. 

The past 12 months have been unlike anything we, as people, have ever faced or experienced. The health, safety, and well-being of ourselves and our loved ones has taken on new meaning, and so too, has the evolution of our retail industry, so it can continue to thrive and serve its customers.  

Through that lens, the last year has taught me so much about myself, the board, our members, Connex, and much more. I spent the last year getting to know the procedures, processes, and my fellow board members, both personally and as business people. While new board members will spend part of their terms getting acclimated to their role, I’ve spent the last year learning how to make the most out of my time on the board. Because of that, I’m ready to hit the ground running and make an immediate impact. 

Retail has changed dramatically, and we need to think outside the box to address these changes. This includes bringing more retailers to the table at Connex, and above all, focusing on expanding the reach of the Connex name and to reach talented smart individuals at all levels of our industry. The world is diversifying and growing, and I intend to help Connex do the same.

That’s why I worked to offer scholarships to numerous different talented individuals as part of the Connex Foundation Committee. This is a project and cause I care deeply about, as I believe that innovation in our industry should be led by people that reflect the world we live in. I truly believe that we need to mentor and share all of our experiences, so we continue to elevate the space!

I had the chance to speak directly with many of you during last year’s campaign, and I would love the opportunity to do so again. I know we all have a lot of thoughts on Connex and where things are going, and hearing directly from you will be vital as we move forward.
